Air Optix Contacts for Comfort

The Air Optix line of contact lenses by CIBA Vision Contact Lenses offers the latest, most innovative contact lens technology; which means all day comfort and clear vision for you.

Each of the four Air Optix contact lenses proudly features TriComfort Technology, which makes these some of the most comfortable lenses you can buy. TriComfort Technology creates comfortable lenses in three ways:

  • Permeability / Breathability: In “days of old,” contact lenses were notoriously uncomfortable. At the time, nobody knew that this was due, in part, to the fact that the eye needs oxygen to “breathe.” Older versions of contact lenses did not allow any oxygen to pass through; which dried out and “suffocated” the eye. This caused pain, discomfort, and blurry vision.

Today, however, technology has led to the creation of breathable contact lens material; which means clearer vision, more comfortable lenses, and healthier, happier eyes.

  • Retains Moisture: Another reason many contact lenses feel uncomfortable is that they tend to dry out. Lenses need to stay moist; and, as they begin to dry out, they start to absorb moisture from your eye in a last-ditch attempt at survival. This means that many lenses dry out, then literally suck the moisture out of your eyes; which, understandably, creates pain and discomfort. With TriComfort Technology, however, Air Optix lenses are made with materials that maintain their own moisture throughout the day; which means more comfort for your eyes.
  • Resists Deposits: A final reason contact lenses can become uncomfortable or, at the very least, a bit blurry after a full day of wear is that they tend to attract dirt, grime, and other deposits. This build-up of deposits can cause discomfort and almost always is guaranteed to create blurry vision. If you find yourself rubbing your eyes a lot, this is most likely due to a build-up of deposits.

With TriComfort Technology, however, your lenses are made of an ultra-sleek material that resists deposits and allows for longer, more comfortable wear.

The Air Optix line includes four different lenses, each one with different benefits to accommodate your specific needs:

  1. Aqua: Extended wear contacts with all-day comfort, thanks to five times more breathability and patented moisture-retaining material.
  2. Astigmatism: Toric contact lense for people with astigmatism; and, with up to six times more breathability than other toric lenses, these are among the most comfortable of all toric lenses.
  3. Aqua Multifocal: Multifocal contact lenses offer a great alternative to bifocals; allowing you seamless vision ranging from up-close reading to long distance.
  4. Night & Day Aqua: These lenses are designed to be worn all day, even overnight; for up to 30 days of continuous wear.

Of course, the best way to see for yourself if these are the right lenses for you is to try them out. Air Optix offers a free one-month trial pair; try them out and see for yourself if these are the contact lenses for you.
