Multipurpose Contact Lense Cleaner; the True Solution

Choosing the right contact lense cleaner is an important step in maintaining your contact lenses.

contact-lense-solutions

First of all, it is important to know that not all contact lense solutions are compatible with all contact lenses; and also are not always compatible with each other.  For instance, you can't necessarily buy one brand of contact lense cleaner and buy another brand's rinsing or saline solution.  The chemicals might react to each other and result in discomfort or infection in your eye, and/or ruin the contact lense.

The wrong solution can also react with the lenses and ruin them.  Therefore, it is imperative that you always consult with your eye care professional or your contact lens manufacturer when choosing (or switching) your contact lense care products.

Secondly, it helps to understand the various types of contact lense care products that you may or may not need (again, depending on what is suggested for your particular lenses).  Most contact lenses require that you cleanse them with a cleaning solution, rinse and store them with another solution, and disinfect them with a third.  This not only gets expensive but also takes up a lot of space in your medicine cabinet; and is downright bothersome if you travel and have to carry all these different solutions with you.

However, you can save time, money, and hassle by using an all-in-one contact lense solution, known as a multipurpose solution.  With just one bottle, you can clean, rinse, disinfect, and store your contact lenses, using just one solution.

This is appealing to many people for many reasons:

  1. First of all, it's just plain easier.  Who wants to fill their medicine cabinet (and their daily routine) with two, three, even four bottles of different products?
  1. Secondly, using a multipurpose solution saves money.  Instead of buying a contact lense cleaner, a rinsing solution, a protein remover, and a disinfectant, save time and money by buying one bottle.  At first it seems multipurpose solutions cost more; but when you realize you are buying one bottle instead of two or three, the cost evens out.
  1. The all-in-one solution eliminates the potential for different products to react badly with each other.  Of course, you still need to consult with your eye care professional or your contact lens manufacturer to make sure that the particular multipurpose contact lense cleaner is compatible with your lenses; but at least you can eliminate the concern that your products will react with each other.

Many websites that offer free trial contact lenses also offer free trials of solution.  Others offer coupons or discounts, especially if you order your solution at the time that you order contact lenses online.  Research your options carefully, and you are bound to find a good deal.

As you can see, a multipurpose contact lense cleaner can make maintaining your contact lenses easier, more affordable, and less complicated; truly a solution to too many solutions!
