Multi Focal Contact Lenses

If your eyes are acting old long before you are ready to, then multi focal contact lenses might be the answer you are looking for!

You do whatever you can to hold off the “old age” years.  You work out, you eat well, you apply wrinkle cream every night.  But what happens when your eyes start to give out; and you refuse to wear “old people” bifocals?

Get multifocal contact lenses!

Multi focal contact lenses are the perfect answer for people who are starting to see signs of presbyopia, but don't want to risk surgery or bother with eyeglasses.  Presbyopia is a common condition of the eye that sets in around our 40's.  It happens when the eye loses its elasticity, and isn't able to jump from looking in the distance to reading things up close.  If you've noticed that you have had to start holding your books, newspapers, or menus at arm's length, then you have presbyopia.

Don't worry, it doesn't mean you're going blind, and it happens to nearly everyone eventually.  And, thanks to technology, there are many contact lenses with many options for you to choose from.

Multi focal contact lenses can come in either soft or RGP (rigid gas permeable) lenses.  There are drawbacks and benefits to each of these options; so research them carefully.  Soft contacts are considered by most people to be the more comfortable of the two; although plenty of people find the RGP contact lenses are more comfortable over time, as they resist the build-up that soft lenses get.  Also, RGPs tend to provide sharper, clearer vision.

Multi focal contact lenses also offer a variety of added options, depending on the brand and your prescription.   You can choose extended wear or daily disposable contact lenses; you can choose tinted for easier handling or lenses that completely change the color of your eye.  There are lenses with UV protection, lenses that offer color enhancement, and lenses for dry eyes.

Before you make your contact lenses purchase, investigate your options as thoroughly as possible.  Then, see if you can find a free trial on two or three of the lenses you think you are interested in.  Try them out for awhile, before investing in your supply.  Only then can you know which are the best contact lenses for you.

Of course, these lenses require special fitting by a qualified eye doctor.  They need to be fitted specifically to your eye, with the specific range of prescriptions within the lense.  For this reason, it is imperative that you get your prescription from an eye doctor, whether you intend on ordering contact lenses online or from the doctor.   Also, because contact lenses fit more specifically to the eye than eyeglasses do, you can't merely transfer your eyeglass prescription and apply it toward your lenses.

With a little bit of time and effort, you can find the perfect multi focal contact lenses for you; and no one will ever know! If you want to keep current with the site updates, subscribe to our blog so you don’t miss any of the news!
