Proclear Toric Contact Lenses

Proclear Toric contact lenses are designed specifically for people who want to wear contact lenses but suffer from astigmatism.

In years past, people who have astigmatism were told that they could not wear contact lenses. Not only is that no longer true, but now Proclear Toric contact lenses offer a soft, replaceable contact lens designed for those with astigmatism. Proclear offers three types of toric lenses: Proclear Toric, Proclear Torix XR, and Proclear Multifocal Toric.

When you have astigmatism, it is important to gather as much information about contact lenses as possible. There are three important steps when researching the appropriate toric contact lens for you.

  1. First of all, it is important to understand exactly what it means to have astigmatism, and why you need toric lenses.  Astigmatism is a structural problem with the human eye. The eye is usually shaped round, like a ball; but with astigmatism, the eye becomes more oval shaped, like a football, which in turn creates blurry vision.

A toric contact lens is made of the same material as a normal contact lens; the difference is in the shape of the lens. A toric lens has two separate lenses in one; similar, in a way, to bifocals. One part of a toric lens is built for the astigmatism, the other is designed to create your near-sighted or far-sighted vision, whichever applies. It is also built to stay stable so these two opposing lenses stay put on your eye where they need to be in order to have clear vision.

For these reasons, you do need a prescription before ordering contact lenses with toric design. Also, due to the more complicated design, the cost of toric lenses is slightly higher than normal contact lens prices.

  1. Your second step is to compare the benefits of the top brands of toric contact lenses. The two main benefits to consider when comparing toric lenses are comfort and vision.

The main benefit that Proclear Toric contact lenses has over the competition is its patented PC technology. PC is short for “phosphorylcholine,” which is a naturally occurring substance found in human cells. The lenses utilize this substance by absorbing water, keeping them moist and resistant to dehydration as well as protecting them from dust and other irritants. This, in turn, allows you to wear them comfortably and with clear vision for up to twelve hours.

Another main benefit is that Pro clear contact lenses are the only lenses (and the only toric lenses) on the market to boast the following claim by the FDA: “May provide improved comfort for contact lens wearers who experience mild discomfort or symptoms relating to dryness during lens wear.” One of the top complaints about contact lenses is dryness and discomfort; but Proclear Toric contact lenses are the only lenses to offer a solution.

  1. Thirdly, compare toric contact lens prices with the competition. However, be careful to look past the surface price. Acuvue contact lenses, for example, seem comparable and nearly the same price at first glance; but when you realize they need to be replaced twice as often, the price for Proclear Toric contact lenses is more affordable.

Once you really research your options, you will find that Proclear Toric contact lenses are the perfect replaceable astigmatism contact lenses for you!

Trial pair versus purchased lens  starstarstarstarstar
When I first wore my trial pair of toric lens I could see very well except for a little problem up close but not that serious.

I could also see 2 marks ...
