Prosite Toric Contact Lenses

Prosite Toric contact lenses are one of the leading toric lenses available to people with astigmatism, and one of the only astigmatism contact lenses for sale that offer tinting for easier handling.

Do you have astigmatism and have always believed that you can never wear contacts? Until recently, people with astigmatism have not had the option of wearing contact lenses, only eyeglasses. But, thanks to modern technology, people with astigmatism now have a wide variety of contact lenses from which to choose.

astigmatism contact lenses

Astigmatism is a condition of the eye which causes blurry vision.  A normal eye is shaped like a sphere or a ball; but with astigmatism it elongates so it is shaped more like a football.  Due to this unusual shape and the resulting vision problems, contact lenses have to be designed specifically for eyes with astigmatism; these are known as toric contact lenses.

Toric lenses are made of the same material as “regular” (or spherical) lenses; the difference is in how they are designed.  Toric lenses have basically two lenses built into one; similar, in a way, to bifocal glasses.  This allows for part of the lens to manage the astigmatism, and the other part to correct the vision.  For this reason, the cost of contact lenses made for astigmatism tend to be a little higher than for regular lenses; however, Prosite Toric contact lenses are among the most affordable of the toric lenses.

When choosing which brand of toric contact lens is for you, it helps to first research your options as much as possible.  It also helps to know what you want out of a lens.  Some people lead an active lifestyle outdoors; others stare at a computer screen all day.  Do you need to wear your lenses as long as possible each day, or is comfort more important?  Do you want a daily disposable, or a monthly replaceable lens?

Every brand of toric lens offers different benefits.  Some brands, such as Proclear Toric contact lenses, promote hydration and comfort for dry eyes.  Acuview contact lenses offer built-in UV protection.

Prosite Toric contact lenses are one of the only toric lenses to offer tinting for easier handling.  The slight tint merely makes it easier for you to find the contact while being stored in the solution, and is particularly helpful when you accidentally drop it.  The tinting will not affect your eye color and will not affect your vision in any way.

ordering contact lenses

The internet offers some of the lowest contact lense prices. When ordering contact lenses online, you must first have your complete toric lens prescription as prescribed by your eye doctor.   Toric lenses require more specific fitting by your eye doctor than just a regular lens.  Many sites offer a free trial, which is a great idea when choosing something as important as toric contact lenses, since they might fit differently among brands.

Toric lenses offer freedom from glasses for those people who have astigmatism; and Prosite Toric contact lenses are one of the best options for those who want a little color in their life.
